My name is Becky and I am here to hold space for you along your journey, helping you to slow down, reconnect with yourself and develop the relationship that you have with yourself.
I have experienced various battles with my own mental and physical health and after a long journey and process of healing, I am ready to share and hold space for others.
I am a yoga teacher and mental health nurse.
I completed my 200hr Vinyasa YTT in India, followed by YIN yoga training to enable me to share the discipline that changed my life.
Following on from this I went on to complete a BSc Hons in Mental Health Nursing, enabling me to support people experiencing mental health struggles/ distress.
My aim is to combine my personal experience with the two professions in the hope to benefit others, making mental and physical health support more of a 'norm'.
One thing that I know for sure is that you are worthy and you deserve to thrive not just survive.
I believe that YOU are the expert of your body. We are all such unique individuals with different passions, strengths, flaws, struggles.
So how could one thing work for everyone?
I am passionate about holding space for people to journey within, enabling them to learn about themselves, reconnect and evolve, arriving at their own realisations.
I like to go back to basics, through use of natural sources such as
movement, music, nature, natural foods love and compassion, as they are more powerful than we think.
I BELIEVE IN:
- Extending love and compassion to ourselves
- Slowing down in a fast paced world
- Reconnecting with ourselves and other
- Listening to our bodies
- The power of the mind can control the body
- Healing through natural resources
- Being kind and gentle to ourselves
As a yoga teacher, my main aim is to hold space for you, guiding you through a journey of self exploration. I like to let the body flow naturally, synchronising breath with movement, almost like a dance through space.
I give you something to take away from each class, whether this is a reminder, a tool to use or a feeling.
YOGA FOR EVERYONE:
You are enough exactly as you are, so please.... never be put off. The most important student is the newcomer
This is a safe space. No judgements. No expectations. The best yogi, is the one who listens to their body.
A reminder that it was never meant to be conquered in a day. Be gentle with yourself, you are exactly where you are meant to be.
